Each year, teachers nominate a student who has shown tremendous growth in reading.  This year, we nominated the lovely and talented Alyssa!  Mrs. Hales and Mrs. Stevenson are so proud of you!

Young Authors!

We have been working hard during our writing workshop time! We celebrate our young authors as they read their illustrated books to our class! After reading, we always give a round of applause and two compliments! 

Harold and the Purple Crayon

After reading Harold and the Purple Crayon, we decided to use our imaginations just like Harold!  We used purple crayons to tell our imaginary stories.  Enjoy the pictures!

 

 

 

Math Workshop

We practiced measuring in inches!

We make sure we begin at the zero mark and then find the closest inch?

We learned how to make symmetrical shapes using pattern blocks and mirrors!

Sea Creature Projects

We researched our creatures and asked questions. We used a title, drawings, close ups, labels and captions to synthesize our learning!
