Our classroom word wall! We will begin the year with our names. As our year progresses, the names will become a part of one of our class books. New high frequency words, taken from the Dolch word list, will be added slowly throughout the year!
The first place you go when you enter our room each morning and make your lunch choice! Yes, we have a classroom bathroom with a stop and go sign, too!
As our year progresses we will display student 'work in progress' from our writing workshop time!

Our reading corner. You get your very own book box to keep books that are special to you!
Literacy Board. We will keep track of mini-lessons, introduce new word wall words, and do "word work" here!
Calendar time! Counting, place value, number formation, and so much more happens at our Calendar.
Literacy Materials-- our writing folders, magnetic letters, rhyming puzzles and so much more are here.
Sand table and coloring station! Our job board is still being finalized, but your child will be responsible for helping keeping the classroom clean and organized!
Classroom library! Each book is organized into a red bin-- a skill that will be slowly introduced! Our Daily 5 Anchor Charts will be displayed here as we create them together!
