Authors Chair

We have begun sharing our writing with our class, using the author's chair.  We practice reading beforehand.  After we read, our classmates give three compliments.  We look for details, expression, great pictures and ideas!

Butterflies at Meijer Gardens!

We traveled to Frederick Meijer Gardens to learn more about the life cycle of the butterflies! Special thank you to all of our parents and grandparents who were able to join us!  

3D shapes

We have started an in depth discussion about 3D shapes, and their attributes!  We discussed a poem, and built our own shapes with different mediums:

We're starting to notice the differences between 2D and 3D!

We even picked a 3D shape to study.  Next week, we will be teaching our shape to our learning buddy!  For today, we made our shapes out of different materials.  It was fun!

Construction has begun!

Thank you Rockford Communiity for passing the Bond!  We are able to upgrade the safety, technology, and infrastructure of our buildings.  Part of construction has begun over Spring Break, and will continue through the summer.  Here are some of the pictures I was able to get! 

A temporary wall was built so demolition can take place in our computer lab, conference room, and offices.  We will soon be getting "computers on wheels!"

Update to our temporary wall-- a vertical surface is great fine motor practice and the decorations are one of a kind!
