3D shapes

We have started an in depth discussion about 3D shapes, and their attributes!  We discussed a poem, and built our own shapes with different mediums:

We're starting to notice the differences between 2D and 3D!

We even picked a 3D shape to study.  Next week, we will be teaching our shape to our learning buddy!  For today, we made our shapes out of different materials.  It was fun!

Clay cylinders and cones

Marshmallows and toothpicks cubes, pyramids, and prisms

straws and pipe cleaners, too!
