Community Time!

Each Friday, the kindergarten friends get together for a fun activity.  This week, we worked on strengthening our small hand muscles-- our fine motor skills!

We broke off into 3 groups, and each group went with a different teacher.  Next week, the groups will switch teachers and do a different activity!  Enjoy the pictures from our morning!

Small Legos: the little Legos require kids to use their finger muscles, not wrist and grip, to build.

Feed Your Face: students squeezed the cheeks of their tennis ball, and used tweezers to feed their tennis ball erasers

Painting: these paint brushes required a pencil grip! We will continue to practice "swim like a froggy" to get our thumb in the correct position

Rolling Playdoh Balls: rolling and placing the apple-scented Playdoh on the trees strengthens our finger and hand muscles

Putting Worms in the Bucket: students used clips to pick up pipe cleaner pieces and put them in a small container.

It was a fun morning!
