Nonfiction text features

Since school started, we have been looking at the differences between fiction and nonfiction books.  This week, we dove deeper!  Here is the chart we made about the nonfiction text features:


Next, we broke off into groups to make a Nonfiction Text Features book.  We used the anchor chart to make a page for titles, labels, captions, illustrations, maps, and photographs.  Here we are cutting out pictures from nonfiction magazines to go on our book pages:
